Privacy
Curing the Cause handles personal data under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea. This is a summary in English; the Korean version is the authoritative text.
We guide patients in Korea through metabolomic testing at the Metabolomic Medicine clinic in Athens. To do this we collect: contact details; the patient's and guardian's names (Korean and English), date of birth, sex, address, phone and email; the bank-transfer receipt; signed consent forms; and questionnaire answers about diet, medical history and metabolic type. Health information is sensitive data and is collected only with separate consent.
This website stores nothing on a server. Answers typed into the patient questionnaire (/q/) stay in your
browser and reach us only through the "send link" you share on KakaoTalk. The chat widget (Channel Talk) collects
device information and chat content on its own service.
Testing is performed by Metabolomic Medicine (Koubari 5, Athens 10674, Greece). At registration we send by email the patient's English name, date of birth, sex, address, phone, email, guardian details, the registration checklist, questionnaire answers and the payment receipt. The clinic keeps them under its medical-record policy. FedEx receives name, address and phone for kit delivery and sample return. You may refuse the transfer, but testing is then not possible.
Google (Gmail, Drive — email and file storage), Kakao (KakaoTalk channel — messaging), Channel Corporation (website chat), Netlify (website hosting; no personal data stored), and a translator where translation is requested.
You (or the legal guardian of a child under 14) may ask to access, correct, delete or stop processing your data, or withdraw consent, via KakaoTalk or the email below. We answer within 10 days after verifying your identity.
One account with two-step verification handles all data; files are kept in encrypted cloud storage, separated per patient and never shared; devices are locked and disk-encrypted; the questionnaire page is password-protected; expired data is deleted on schedule.
