FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often in consultations. If yours is not here, please just ask.

How are the samples collected?

Instructions come inside the kit that is posted to you. They cover how to collect blood and urine, fasting conditions, and the rules for drying, storage and shipping. You can message us at any point while you are doing it.

How is the test paid for?

The fee is transferred directly to the clinic’s account in Greece, and the transfer charges are the patient’s. The amount depends on the type of test (first test with blood and urine, a partial blood test, or a repeat test), so we give you the exact figure and account details during the consultation.

Is shipping included?

No. Sending the kit to you and sending the sample to Greece are both at the patient’s cost. We arrange the FedEx pickup and the shipping paperwork for you.

The report is in English. Will you interpret it?

The report and the diet plan are English documents issued by the clinic. Medical interpretation is the clinic’s responsibility, and the written interview exists precisely for that: we collect your questions, put them to the clinic and bring back the answers. A translation service can be requested separately.

I am taking medication. Is that a problem?

Tell us during the consultation what medication and supplements you take. The clinic’s physicians consider your health status and current medication when deciding whether to proceed. For an acute condition, a diagnosis or a prescription, you should be seen by a physician where you live; this test does not replace that.

How is this different from a routine health check?

Metabolomic analysis is not comparable to an ordinary laboratory test. It measures very small molecules — metabolites — to show what is happening at a cellular level. It is highly specialised and is performed in only a small number of laboratories worldwide that meet very high standards.

Can it be done for someone with an existing condition?

If you take anticoagulants, or have diabetes or another condition that needs care during sampling, please speak with your own physician before proceeding.

Can children be tested?

Yes. For a minor, the legal guardian’s details must also be provided and the guardian must sign the consent forms.

When would a repeat test happen?

After the first results and diet plan have been applied for a period, we agree a timing together. A repeat test skips the checklist but adds a Follow-up questionnaire.

How long does the whole thing take?

Counting from the day after the kit reaches the clinic: about 3–6 weeks for the report, 6–8 weeks for the diet plan and 8–12 weeks for the written interview — roughly three months in all.

I live outside Korea. Can I still do this?

Yes. The procedure is the same wherever you live. Consultation times are set in Korean time, and we will find a slot that works for you.
